Win/Lose 2001/2006

Length variable; two versions: single channel and multiple channel video installation

The Win/Lose Series presents a study of anticipation and result as they look on the body. Gesture, acting and the im/possibility of spontaneity are highlighted as actors follow a horse race and finally win or lose. This highly artificial situation is paired with footage taken at a horserace (the 'real') where movement is seen in situ.
