In the last year we’ve seen things get dire. At my local park where I walk my dogs everyday, things have gone from mediocre to desperate. The unhoused population has skyrocketed. I’ve seen people huddled around a trashcan fire, a naked woman sprinkler bathing, and the remains of more than one RV blaze. I started making drawings of assorted park dwellings, then wrote poetic descriptions, and put them together to make a 12 page artist’s book.
